There is so much more to finding your perfect farm than merely the ‘bedrooms, bathrooms, and
price’. Together we will define your vision for your farm: the house, acreage, ideal stable layout, type
of fencing, and riding arenas needed.
We will discuss whether you will offer boarding and training
or want to house only your own personal horses, and which of your needs are a day one requirement
versus those that can be realized down the trail a bit.
The time we spend with you up front detailing your ideal farm will enable us to serve as your eyes and ears during the search. We won’t waste your time dragging you out to properties that would never support the type of farm you want, and our connections within the equestrian and real estate communities mean that we can often identify potential farms for you that have yet to hit the market.
Once we find a potential match, that’s when it’s time to pull on our muck boots and get our hands dirty. Our team, along with our network of specialist inspectors, goes over every aspect of the farm. This process is done in multiple stages to best support our negotiation efforts and minimize the costs to you should we discover anything that would warrant re-evaluating the purchase. We attend every inspection personally and will keep you informed every step of the way.
There is nothing quite like taking that first step onto your own farm, keys in hand, knowing that this is where it all begins. That’s just how we view it as well; closing isn’t the end of the process, it is the beginning of the dream – your dream.
No need to panic, there is life beyond closing and we will be there for you every step of the way to advise on the best ways to handle the move, renovations, improvements, and that all important step of naming your new farm.
Happily ever after is for fairytales; farms take real work. It’s a labor of love to be sure, but it’s still work. Put our contacts and experience to work for you in establishing relationships with feed stores, vets, farriers, boarders, accountants, and more.
